More than any other genre of music, country music makes people feel. What are the most powerful of these country songs? They are the tearjerkers, the songs that cannot help but produce tears in the listener. Here are some of the saddest country music songs of all time.

The first on the list: Don-t Take the Girl by Tim McGraw. The song tells the story of Johnny and the little girl who lived down the road. They grow up and fall in love, but their love story is cut short after the birth of their child. Who could help but cry at such a beautiful love story that comes to an end far too early?

Rascal Flatts- song Here Comes Goodbye brings tears to the eyes every time. A tragic song told as a man realizes his young love will never be able to become his bride and he is about to begin a lonely road.

A song that hits home to so many now is Tim McGraw-s If You-re Reading This. Told from a letter of a fallen soldier, only hearts of stone would not cry at this song.

Whether listening in the car, bedroom or even in public these songs will bring tears to the eyes. There is no escape from a well-done sad country song.Keep looking, there-s more: Meet Tim McGraw: The Honkeytonk Ba-Donkey!

Most everyone loves music and especially country music. Would you be surprised to learn that some of your favorite country music stars have a different name? Some artists have chosen to do this for various reasons or on the advice of another party. It could be that they or someone else did not like the sound of their real name or they may just have wanted to be different and have a “new” name. Sometimes by changing their name it would mean attracting a wider audience and more listeners.
Some artists may be on a new path in their lives and by changing their name they “start over” in a positive place to project this in their music. They are still the same person on the outside, but on the inside they feel much better and can give the best to their audience.
Some may just want to reinvent themselves or out of respect they change their name to that of someone they love and admire. No matter what the reason we love listening to country music and the sounds given to us. Country music artists have been around for many years and we will continue to enjoy their music.

Your parents country music did not have any rap elements in it. Your parents country had the twang of a steel guitar and not a thumping electronic baseline. While the sounds of Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, and Waylon Jennings are inspiration for Nashville’s youth in writing their tunes; modern musical trends have merged with traditional styles. Generations have always been defined by their music. While artists like Faith Hill and The Dixie Chix revolutionized modern country top 40 music.This/tag helps explain it more. The generation of country that began to sound like pop music including Reba, Leann Rhimes, Travis Tritt, Keith Urban, and Lady Antebellum still does not employ the alternative modern elements and continues to stick to its roots.
The evolution in Nashville has mutated country music into a mixture of genres including pop, rap, techno, and bluegrass. It rolls through the MP3 players with faster paced rhythmic beats than “Mom and Dad’s” country. The insurgent country or Americana that is driven by Nashville’s youth is also influenced by punk and rock and called “Cowpunk”. There is roots rock and rockabilly. All of these modern styles can be traced directly back to good old fashioned country songs from the people of the American heartland. Nashville’s youth movement music is patterned by its roots but redefined by their own breed of artistic creativity.

Country lovers love their live music and we’ve been to quite a few concerts in our day. Whether you use your satellite star internet to buy tickets or you happen to know someone who can get you the hook up you’ve got to jump on any chance to see our favorite live acts in concert:
Taylor Swift: Ms. Swift sure knows how to put on a show and though tickets can sometimes get pricey they’re worth every penny. Aside from the glitz and glam of her outfits Taylor can sing and plays guitar live during the showdon’t miss it.
Kenny Chesney: If you’re looking for the kind of show that feels more like an awesome summer BBQ, this is it. Grab a cold one and jam out to every Kenny classic (who knew you knew the lyrics to so many of his songs?) and make it a group affairhe’s better when you’re partying!
Zac Brown Band: Zac Brown’s concerts are what Dave Matthew’s concerts used to be like and you’ll have the time of your life and wonder where 4 hours went. He talks to the crowd like they’re his best friends and boy can he sing.

The first ladies of country music fashion know their stuff when it comes to style! If you need proof of that, you need to look no farther than Carrie Underwood. This girl knows how to rock it on and off the red carpet. Whether she’s all dolled up for the CMA’s in a gorgeous purple satin dress or laid-back in a gray sweater with black crop leggings and ballet flats, she knows how to work her fashion style, that is for sure.
Martina McBride is one hot mama! She knows how to play up her assets and work what she has. She can dress it up in a beautiful Gretian Goddess inspired cream gown complete with shoulder sweeping gold earrings or she can dress it down in a pair of dark skinny jeans paired with knee high boots, gray Tshirt, and a vintage jean jacket. Top that with a pair of chunky earrings and chain belt adorned with charms and you have a mom who knows how to rock the carpool and soccer games!
So whether you are 23 or 53…look to country music’s first ladies of fashion and you are bound to find some fashion inspiration of your own!

Christmas music is always grand, no matter what time of year it is. With so many holiday albums being put out annually, it’s hard to narrow down which are the best of the best. As with all top 10 lists, there are going to be some that argue about the fluidity of this list, but that’s why lists are so fun. They bring out thoughts and ideas in others, and people can share their own top ten lists as well. The following is a list of ten classic country music holiday songs to enjoy all year round.

1. Silent Night by Johnny Cash
2. Blue Christmas by Elvis Presley & Martina McBride
3. Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer by Gene Autry
4. Hard Candy Christmas by Dolly Parton
5. Jingle Bells by Merle Haggard
6. Joy To The World by George Strait
7. Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee
8. Santa Baby by Kellie Pickler
9. Kentucky Homemade Christmas by Kenny Rogers
10. A Christmas To Remember by Amy Grant

The aforementioned list is just a sampling of some of the better classic Christmas songs to come through the country radio and television. Many will argue for different songs, but that’s the joy of top 10 lists, that’s for sure.
